Vestas secures 90MW wind turbine order from Enel Green Power

CTBR Staff Writer Published 28 December 2012

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has secured a 90MW order from Enel Green Power for its Valle de los Vientos project in Chile.

Vestas will supply 45 V100-2.0 MW wind turbines for a project that is located 2,500m above sea level in the El Loa province of the Antofagasta region.

Scope of the contract includes delivery, transportation, installation and commissioning of the turbines alongside a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a five-year service and maintenance agreement under active output management scheme.

Vestas Mediterranean president Juan Araluce recalled that the contract was part of the larger 400MW agreement signed back in September 2010.

"We are also proud to provide our experience and quality in being a full-service partner to Enel Green Power as we support their vision to further develop Latin America's wind energy sector," said Araluce.
