Semcon enters into offshore wind power agreement with DONG Energy

Semcon entered into a new framework agreement with Danish energy company DONG Energy to provide consultancy services for DONG Energy's German offshore wind power business activities.

DONG Energy is a world leader in Offshore Wind Power and intends on quadrupling capacity from 2012 to 2020, which would provide green energy to a tota
l of 16 million Europeans.

The agreement between DONG Energy and Semcon focuses on supporting construction, commissioning and operations of offshore wind farms in Germany.

Semcon's President and CEO, Markus Granlund said: "Our expertise from various industries will join together in providing an exciting approach to this assignment. "

"We will be helping with project and quality management gained from the auto industry, along with experienced consultants from the offshore and energy sectors."
